Kepler is on an audacious mission: to bring the internet to space. Founded in 2015, our ambition is to provide internet connectivity in space, whether in LEO, MEO, GEO, or beyond. With an expanding base of early customers and our first 23 satellites in orbit, Kepler is continuing to grow and expand its most important asset – the Team!
With the imminent transition to our new location, our IT department will play a pivotal role, necessitating additional support to ensure a smooth and successful migration. To effectively manage this transition and maintain operational efficiency, we are seeking a highly motivated Support Technician to join our IT team.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including imaging systems, providing equipment, and setting up proper account access.
  • Assist with training on new software and applications.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for IT policies and processes.
  • Manage, and organize IT hardware, equipment, software, and licenses.
  • Provide helpdesk support for desktops, workstations, and IT equipment issues.
  • Assist the system administrator with backup/restore, business continuity, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Assist with software and security upgrades as required.
  • Perform duties in the office environment.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in IT or related field.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ambitious and highly self-motivated, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible, hands-on approach to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and collaborative environment.
  • Solid knowledge of computer hardware.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and technology.

Bonus Points:

  • 1-2 years of working experience in IT or related roles.
  • Experience with Linux in a working environment.
  • Working experience with writing scripts.
  • Home lab setup environment.
