About the position
We are looking for a high-performing Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, "do-what-it-takes" startup environment. Technical excellence is your baseline, but your true value lies in your initiative. You won't just be following instructions; you will be optimizing workflows, troubleshooting complex systems, and playing a pivotal role in scaling our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Build and integrate complex electro-mechanical robotic systems with a high degree of accuracy.
- Plan, assign, and monitor daily tasks for production personnel, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
- Conduct rigorous product testing and diagnose electrical or mechanical failures at the root cause.
- Use power tools and machinery (drill press, grinders, etc.) to modify parts for prototyping or production.
- Review and update Work Instructions (WIs); identify opportunities to implement Lean or Kaizen principles.
- Occasionally travel (Canada/US) to assist with product implementation and servicing.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of industrial experience in electronics assembly, fabrication, or testing.
- Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Expert ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Advanced hands-on experience with power tools (circular saws, sanders, grinders) and shop machinery.
- Strong familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and industrial safety standards.
- Fine motor skills and attention to detail required for high-stakes medical robotics.
- Valid G or G2 driver's license and eligibility for cross-border travel (US).
