Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in medical devices, hospital-based clinical settings, healthcare implementation, or customer/account management roles supporting provider environments.

Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing, allied health, healthcare administration, business, life sciences, or a related field is preferred.

Posting Notes: Travel frequency for this role is between 50%-75%.

About the position:

Are you a professional looking to leverage your clinical experience in a new, innovative way? Able Innovations is seeking dynamic professionals to join our Customer Success Team.

As an Implementation Lead, you will serve as the on-site expert, training hospital staff on how to use our cutting-edge technology to improve safety and efficiency. You will also act as the primary site lead for Able Innovations during critical product launches, implementation phases, and customer adoption activities.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, education, and human connection.

This is a full-time fixed-term role for an expected duration of 4-6 months, based in Rochester, Minnesota, with frequent (50%-75%) local and regional travel to healthcare facilities in the USA. You will be the face of Able Innovations in your territory, with support from our Toronto HQ.

Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Training: Lead hands-on training sessions for hospital staff (nurses, transport staff, techs) on the safe and effective use of Able Innovations equipment.
  • Go-Live Support: Provide "at-the-elbow" support during shift changes and peak hours to ensure staff feel confident using the new technology in real-time.
  • Site Leadership: Serve as Able Innovations' primary on-site lead during the assignment period, coordinating day-to-day implementation activities and acting as a reliable point of contact for the customer site.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with frontline teams, managers, educators, and hospital leadership to support successful adoption and a strong customer experience.
  • Clinical Advocacy: Bridge the gap between engineering and nursing. Translate technical features into clinical benefits (e.g., "Here is how this device helps you turn a patient with zero back strain").
  • Adoption Monitoring: Observe floor usage, identify barriers to adoption, and gently encourage hesitant staff to try the new workflow.
  • Feedback Loop: Report site-specific feedback, bugs, or wins back to the Able Innovations headquarters to help us improve our product.
  • Account Support: Help drive overall account success by identifying opportunities to improve engagement, strengthen site-level advocacy, and support long-term adoption and expansion.
  • KPI Ownership: Track, support, and report on key implementation, adoption, and account metrics, including training completion, staff engagement, utilization trends, identified barriers, stakeholder engagement, and other customer success indicators tied to the site.
  • Escalation & Follow-Up: Identify site-level issues or risks early, communicate them clearly to internal teams, and help drive timely follow-up and resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in medical devices, healthcare implementation, clinical support, hospital operations, or provider-facing account management
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing, allied health, healthcare administration, business, life sciences, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience serving as a field clinical specialist, account manager, implementation lead, clinical educator, product specialist, or similar customer-facing role in healthcare is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with clinical workflows and an understanding of the North American healthcare system.
  • Strong understanding of hospital workflows and the North American healthcare environment
  • You don't need to be an engineer, but you must be comfortable learning new hardware/software, troubleshooting basic issues, and helping users build confidence with new technology.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage effectively across various skill levels
  • Able to balance hands-on implementation support with account ownership, issue escalation, and KPI tracking
  • You must be approachable, empathetic, persuasive, and proactive. You are the "friendly face" that makes new technology less scary for tired staff while also building confidence with site leadership.
  • Valid D driver's license.
