About Able Innovations:

At Able Innovations, we are redefining how patients are moved in healthcare environments. Our powered transfer platform enables smoother, safer and more dignified patient mobility-empowering healthcare teams and protecting caregivers from injury.

We are currently active in hospitals across Canada and growing. As we expand, we are looking for a people-oriented Implementation Specialist who can help healthcare teams adopt and embrace this technology with confidence.

About the position:

Are you a nurse looking to leverage your clinical experience in a new, innovative way? Able Innovations is seeking dynamic nurses to join our flexible "Go-Live Team."

As an Implementation Specialist you will be providing care for the caregivers. You will serve as the on-site expert, training hospital staff on how to use our cutting-edge technology to improve safety and efficiency. You pick the projects that fit your schedule, serving as our boots-on-the-ground representative during critical product launches and implementation phases.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, education and human connection.

This role is based in Vancouver, with frequent local and regional travel to healthcare facilities. You will be the face of Able Innovations in your territory, with support from our Toronto HQ.

Individuals with current contractual work as nurses, porters or relevant healthcare roles, who are interested in gaining management experience on the side, are encouraged to apply for this opportunity.

Why Join the Able Innovations Flex Team?

  • Complete Flexibility: Work on an "as-needed" basis. We post upcoming implementation dates (usually 3-5 day blocks), and you sign up for the ones that fit your life.
  • Tech & Innovation Exposure: Gain valuable experience in the MedTech industry and add "Clinical Educator" to your resume.
  • Support Your Colleagues: Our technology is designed to reduce staff injury and burnout. You will be the champion helping other nurses work safer.
  • No Bedside Stress: No patient ratios, no charting, and no medication passes. Your focus is entirely on education, support, and technology adoption.

Responsibilities:

  • On-Site Training: Lead hands-on training sessions for hospital staff (nurses, porters, techs) on the safe and effective use of Able Innovations equipment.
  • Go-Live Support: Provide "at-the-elbow" support during shift changes and peak hours to ensure staff feel confident using the new technology in real-time.
  • Clinical Advocacy: Bridge the gap between engineering and nursing. Translate technical features into clinical benefits (e.g., "Here is how this device helps you turn a patient with zero back strain").
  • Adoption Monitoring: Observe usage on the floor, identify barriers to adoption, and gently encourage hesitant staff to try the new workflow.
  • Feedback Loop: Report site-specific feedback, bugs, or wins back to the Able Innovations headquarters to help us improve our product.

You will be successful if you are:

  • Passionate about healthcare technology and innovation.
  • Love working with people and can make complex things feel approachable.
  • Experienced in clinical education, implementation, or client support in healthcare settings.
  • A clear communicator-comfortable leading both group demos and 1-on-1 support.
  • Resourceful, organized, and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Current and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or RPN/LPN.
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Med/Surg, ICU, or ER preferred).
  • Education Skills: Experience as a preceptor, charge nurse, or clinical educator is a huge plus. You must be comfortable speaking to groups and teaching peers.
  • Tech Savviness: You don't need to be an engineer, but you must be comfortable learning new hardware/software and troubleshooting basic issues.
  • Personality: You must be approachable, empathetic, and persuasive. You are the "friendly face" that makes new technology less scary for tired staff.

Availability Requirements:

  • Must be available to attend a 1-2-day paid orientation/training on Able Innovations' products.
  • Availability to work shifts ranging from 12 to 24 hours during scheduled implementation weeks.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites within Canada is preferred (travel expenses will be covered).

Application Requirements:

Please submit your resume and cover letter as a PDF document with the naming format "ISV2601_Firstname_Lastname". Please also include any relevant projects/portfolios.
