As a Senior Backend Engineer on our Builder Guidance team, you will be working with internal and external stakeholders, product managers, and designers to execute Ada’s roadmap which will help us drive faster in accomplishing automated resolutions. This team works closely with our Machine Learning department and this person needs to have a strong understanding of data analytics, problem-solving, and strong technical leadership skills to help coordinate work between teams.
About You
As technology is constantly changing, the candidate must have the ability to adapt to change in this diverse and fast paced environment. You will have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. You must be results driven and determined to drive issues to resolution. You will be a team player, organized, responsible and a highly detailed problem solver!

  • 4+ years of experience as a backend developer through the full development lifecycle
  • Simple by design: Ability to design, build, and scale high-quality software and systems that strike the right balance between simplicity, flexibility, scalability, and security.
  • Guiding execution: The projects you are working on are complex and sometimes multi-faceted. They will require strong technical skills but also soft skills. You should be able to influence and drive the team and your work to deliver excellence in a predictable time.
  • Code quality: A passion for code quality and a drive to constantly improving it
  • Cloud native: Comfortable operating in a cloud environment, using serverless, application containerization, infrastructure as code
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations using statistical methods and data mining techniques. Apply advanced analytical techniques to identify key insights and provide actionable recommendations based on data findings.

  • Help make our ambitious Ada product roadmap a reality through the implementation of features and new integrations as part of a stream-aligned team
  • Review the team’s code, provide insightful feedback, foster collaborative community and teach everyone something new
  • Be an integral member of the team to contribute to our product ideation process, work to spot improvements, increase the quality of code and brainstorm new opportunities
  • Ensure the team is providing a scalable and maintainable platform for integrations

The expected salary range for this position is $111,000 - $140,000. Actual pay will be determined based on several factors such as past experience and qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
