Reporting to the Business Support Manager for Peri-Operative Specialties, you will be responsible for coding/ inputting of surgical billing.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

Your duties will include follow up and re-submission of rejected OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) claims, the preparation and transmission of Remittance Advice Inquiries, and maintaining/reconciling/reviewing all outstanding claims. In addition, you will be responsible for Reciprocal, IFHP, Quebec, International, Insurance and Self-Pay billing. You will challenge all rejected claims, and endeavor to maximize all monies due to the surgical departments. As an integral member of the team, you will provide support to other team members within the group during any absences. In your role, you will use your billing expertise to maximize all claims, and to offer billing solutions/education from inquiring Physicians.

Here's What You’ll Need:

Your background MUST include a minimum of five years of Physician billing experience (Surgical, Anesthesia or Critical Care preferred), combined with a high school diploma. You work well in a team environment and are also able to work independently. You will be proficient in Windows Outlook, Microsoft Excel (Advanced Level necessary) and Word. Will possess excellent computer and keyboarding skills. You will have experience working with/and knowledge of medical billing software (Epic preferred). You will have considerable knowledge and an understanding of the rules and application of the OHIP Schedule of Benefits.

Employment Type: Full-time Permanent with Full Benefits and Pension, 1.0 FTE 35 hours per week
