We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Robotics and Automation Technician who will work within our maintenance team to provide technical support and facilitate operation of Aspire’s automated systems. They will work closely with all technical team members to facilitate operation of the plant's automation systems.
SHIFT STRUCTURE
This role will work a shift structure of a 2-3-2, 2 weeks days, 2 weeks nights, 12 hour shift rotation.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER
Promote a Health and Safety, Food Safety and GMP Culture by adhering to company standards at all times.
Assist with day-to-day operation, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of automation
systems.
Assist with CI improvement initiatives.
Disassemble and reassemble robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs such as
replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and servomotors
Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers,
electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics
Determine causes of operational problems or failures
Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or
conveyors
Maintain a Project/Activity Database.
Knowledge, experience, and troubleshooting with machine automation (design and programming)
Understanding of electrical/electronic schematic diagrams, blueprints, and pneumatic/hydraulic
systems
Other related duties and required or assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
1 -3 years work experience in a similar role.
Solid understanding of the technical fundamental of programming of Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
Electrical trades certification or Electrical engineering degree/diploma.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC’s, Fanuc and/or other industrial robots an asset.
Understanding Fanuc Robots an asset.
Willingness to learn database programming and development.
Excellent computer skills; Proficient in Google suite an asset.
Continuous improvement mindset; willingness to be training in different levels of Lean Manufacturing.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team, in a fast paced environment; collaboration skills, as well as the ability to influence others.
Solid time management capabilities with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute deliverables.
