Senior Product Manager
CoLab Software
About CoLab
At CoLab, we want to help mechanical engineering teams bring life-changing products to market years sooner.
CoLab is a cloud based platform for engineering design review. We make it easy for subject matter experts (SMEs) across your business to access, evaluate, and comment on 2D drawings and 3D models. Our built-in AI peer checker, AutoReview, scans designs for common errors or non-compliance with your standards and guidelines. AutoReview creates markups and comments on your files, in context – just like a human checker.
With CoLab, human SMEs and AI work together to help you make better decisions and improve designs faster. We automatically capture knowledge from across your global business that would otherwise be buried in emails, spreadsheets, slide decks, and unknown locations in Sharepoint or PLM. Then, we make sure every lesson learned and every design guideline is applied exactly when it matters.
Companies like Johnson Controls, Komatsu, Schaeffler, and Polaris have launched products 40% faster, cut BOM costs by 50%, and reduced quality escapes by 15% in 1 year.
About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager at CoLab, you will shape the requirements for new product features, guide the Enterprise team projects to ensure desired outcomes, and work with product marketing and success to launch finished features to customers. If you are excited by challenging scopes of work, take pride in producing high quality products, and are passionate about organizing and executing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, this could be the perfect role for you.
Your job is to bring structure and strategic direction to your team. You’ll balance specificity of large customer asks with long-term platform value. You’ll define what gets built (and why), and ensure our biggest customers are successful without compromising the broader roadmap. This isn’t just internal prioritization — you’ll be interfacing directly with IT and systems stakeholders at some of the world’s largest engineering companies. Your communication skills need to match your product chops.
Our Ideal Candidate
You’re a seasoned Product Manager who thrives in complex environments. You know how to prioritize in a sea of competing demands. You have the executive presence to work with enterprise customers, the clarity to align internal teams, and the judgment to know when to say “no” (and how to say it).
You’ve likely worked in a product area that touches user management, permissions, platform architecture, or enterprise IT. You understand corporate technology environments and have a strong grasp of how administration and governance show up in software workflows.
Most importantly, you’ve built and shaped high-performing teams before and know what it takes to keep one aligned and executing in a rapidly evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete customer and user research
- Contribute to and maintain roadmaps
- Brainstorm solutions to challenging problems, and discuss proposals and designs for new ideas with cross-functional teams
- Write clear and concise product requirements to capture the vision, goals, success criteria, and key elements of new products and features
- Use data to inform decisions, validate hypotheses, track performance, and iterate on solutions—leveraging both qualitative and quantitative inputs
- Understand and deconstruct technical and engineering specific problems; translate them into easy to use solutions for our customers
- Represent business goals and solutions; work cross-functionally to solve challenges in product development and arrive at the optimal outcome for the product and our customers
- Collaborate across many teams at CoLab to communicate product requirements and deliver features, striving for the best customer experience, and with willingness to make smart compromises as necessary
What you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software
- Experience with user management, permissions, security, or platform infrastructure
- Strong communication and executive presence — you can lead conversations with enterprise customers and cross-functional stakeholders alike
- Proven ability to define product strategy and deliver results with minimal oversight
