Your role as a Mental Health Specialist
Dialogue is looking for a Mental Health Specialist to take part in our mission to help people improve their wellbeing. Reporting to Joanny Grenier, Manager, Mental Health Specialists, the mission of the Mental Health Specialist is to support and provide a high-quality experience to Dialogue members. A Mental Health Specialist can have a background/experience in social work, crisis intervention and/or short-term coaching (not therapy). They are specialized in mental health and provide an empathetic approach to interventions. They coach members with mild mental health symptoms, navigate members’ needs and send resources for out-of-scope issues. Want to join our exceptional multidisciplinary team in an evolving industry? What you'll be doing
- Assessing the needs and requests of our members on the platform
- Accompanying members in their health care journey in collaboration with other professionals
- Offering support to our members to achieve objectives in a motivational interviewing approach
- Ensuring patient navigation to other resources complementary to our services
- Participating in and developing our database of community/public resources in Canada and our pamphlets on mental health
- You will be responsible for patient safety in your member-facing role
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- Bilingual in French and English
- A Bachelor's degree in a mental health or human relations field
- 2+ years of intervention experience as a social worker or other related experience, comfortable with short-term interventions and mental health issues
- Availability to work full-time up to 32 hours per week during the day, evening (up to 8 pm), and weekends
- Very good knowledge of community and institutional resources
- A desire to work in an environment that encourages autonomy, professionalism, and versatility
- An attraction to an innovative environment, proficiency with computer tools
Please note that as we serve customers across Canada, bilingualism is essential for this position. You may be required to communicate in French and English.
