Overview:

As the Sales Coordinator you will be responsible for driving business growth and shaping the company’s long-term strategic direction. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to strategize, collaborate, and align business efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set clear target dates throughout the proposal process to ensure successful completion by monitoring progress, coordinating with external contributors and consistently self-evaluating project priorities.
  • Evaluate the company’s current product strategy using industry research and competitor analysis, and develop a growth strategy focused on competitive advantages, financial gain, and market needs.
  • Utilize product and solution information to identify and understand potential clients needs in order to generate new business opportunities.
  • urgent calls, emails, and messages when sales representatives are unavailable, answering customer queries, informing them of delays, arranging delivery dates, and scheduling marketing events.
  • with other departments to ensure sales, marketing, queries, and deliveries are handled efficiently.
  • and maintaining filing systems to maintain sales records, prepare reports, and provide financial information to the finance department.
  • the Sales team administratively including correspondence, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting with meetings.
  • and follow-up on sales leads, provide inside sales support, and coordinate with sales team to ensure follow up with potential clients.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills, able to interact with store locations, various stakeholders, VPs, regional managers, and other corporate departments.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, complete day to day activities, and handle all urgent requests.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to ensure effective communication across teams and to coordinate ongoing business development initiatives.
  • Strong computer skills - word, excel, outlook, internet explorer, access, Great Plains.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, business management, marketing, or related field is required.
  • 1-3 years of experience inclusive of relevant co-op
  • Post-grad education in sustainability, or sustainable energy is an asset.
