Integration Engineer, Hardware

Please note, this role requires the ability and willingness to travel in North America upon commencing employment. It also requires availability for evenings and weekends on a continuous basis.

100% Onsite role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and debug PLCs and embedded control systems used in EV charging stations.
  • Integrate hardware components (sensors, power electronics, control boards) with embedded software.
  • Support manufacturing and deployment teams during FAT, SAT, and UAT processes.
  • Participate in the testing, commissioning, documentation, and certification of BESS and EVFC systems.
  • Collaborate with external partners and support design knowledge transfer.
  • Troubleshoot issues in the field; analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes.
  • Review component datasheets and test samples for suitability and reliability.
  • Document integration procedures, system designs, and test results in a clear and structured format.
  • Prepare technical reports, application notes, and field support documentation.
  • Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Make design progress reports, summaries of test results and site work completion records.
  • Assist with special projects as required.

Basic Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in electrical engineering and systems integration.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar) and industrial control systems.
  • You must have experience working with Energy Systems, Electrical Energy Systems, and Control Systems.
  • You must have experience with PLC and basic programming languages (Python, java, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of energy systems, electrical energy systems, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Previous design, validation, or prototyping experience (through work, coursework, or internships).
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-moving startup.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (Python, Bash, etc.) for testing or diagnostics.
  • Relevant design & validation experiences through previous internships or course work.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and basic data tools
  • You are a quick learner and a team player who likes to overcome engineering challenges with others and open to feedback.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within North America to support field operations.
