Specifically, Ecopia has generated maps across over 50 million km² around the world from fresh high-resolution satellite & aerial imagery. The Role
Ecopia is hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) to help grow demand for our AI-generated mapping data.
This is a front-line sales role focused on outbound prospecting and pipeline generation. The BDR is responsible for identifying potential customers, initiating conversations, and booking qualified meetings for the sales team.
The role involves high-volume outreach through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn messaging to engage organizations that could benefit from Ecopia’s data.
This role is ideal for individuals early in their sales careers who want to develop strong prospecting skills and build a foundation in technology sales. Successful BDRs who consistently generate pipeline will have the opportunity to grow into Account Executive roles.
Responsibilities
- Execute outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, and LinkedIn
- Research and identify target accounts across Ecopia’s key customer sectors
- Identify relevant decision-makers and initiate conversations
- Book qualified meetings for Account Executives
- Clearly communicate Ecopia’s value proposition to prospective customers
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and activity in the CRM
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine outreach strategies
- Participate in sales training and coaching
Experience & Education
- Recent or upcoming university graduate pursuing a degree in business or a related field
- Previous internship, co-op, or customer-facing experience is an asset
