The Role:
As a key member of our team and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will (1) play a key role in the tech stack evaluation, selection, integration, optimization, administration, technical support and reporting - to build infrastructure that connects & integrates our growing product platform, (2) Improving and evolving our digital strategies and roadmaps that improves visibility, efficiency, customer experience and/or enables efficient scaling; particularly as it relates to our webstore and ecommerce presence (3) promote evidence based decision making, and (4) build secure, reliable, and scalable systems to support high growth.

You understand how tech enablement & digital transformation align with business goals and value creation. You collaborate across the organization to support & drive improvements in system processes and workflows, including how systems integrate and communicate with one another. You can translate business speak into technical specifications and execute on the requests. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where adaptability, critical thinking & teamwork are necessary to get it done.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, integration, configuration, maintenance, and security of our IT infrastructure, including network, hardware, and software, to ensure maximum efficiency and performance
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business priorities, processes and outcomes
- Develop & implements a digital transformation strategy and roadmaps
- Map business processes & workflows
- Design workflows based on stakeholder feedback to integrate and connect various systems on a Shopify platform, using HubSpot CRM alongside other financial and efficiency tools (QB, Slack, etc.).
- Implement business Intelligence dashboards for real-time visibility into data, insights, and KPIs
- Identify, engage & manage external contractors & vendors, including renewals, and actively look for better solutions and price comparisons
- Manage internal software stack & vendors, including administration and support
- Implement cybersecurity best practices (pen testing, MFA, backups, antivirus, firewalls, etc.).
- Automate high-value, manual processes to drive speed & efficiency
- Account management, troubleshooting, backups, updates, and providing technical support to colleagues in a professional and timely manner.
- Other ad hoc projects as required
Your Skills and Experience:
- Must have: 3-5 years managing, maintaining, and securing an organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software, ensuring reliable operation, performance, and data security
- Must have: a college diploma or undergraduate degree in computers, IT or a related field
- Must have: proficiency with integration platforms & middleware
- Must have: prior experience designing user interfaces, including business Intelligence dashboards
- Must have: prior start-up experience
- Nice-to-have: introduction or experience in DevOps
- Nice-to-have: previous experience in the life sciences, food, food tech or nutrition industry
- Strong knowledge of the Cloud, API integration, AI assessment and integration, Data Stewardship, and Cybersecurity
- Superior communication, interpersonal & collaboration skills
- Proven experience in IT administration, network management, digital transformation & systems integration
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced & dynamic work environment
- Nimble in your thinking, with the ability to pivot and change gears according to business needs
- Ability to work independently or in a team, with high self-motivation and attention to detail
