Enhanced Medical Nutrition ("EMN”) is a transformational, food-as-medicine start-up that commercializes evidence-based medical nutrition products to improve patient outcomes and experience in surgery. Surgical patients are unprepared for the stress of their surgery, which can significantly increase the risk of delayed recovery, complications and even mortality.
EMN has developed ENROUTE®, a surgeon-recommended nutrition program to help patients prepare better and recover faster. The Role:
We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to manage and elevate ENROUTE®’s digital presence. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role creates and manages on-brand content across social media and marketing channels. The Coordinator supports campaigns, email, web, events, and partner communications while translating EMN’s mission and clinical expertise into clear, compliant content. This role collaborates cross-functionally, manages community engagement, and analyzes performance to strengthen brand awareness and engagement.

You understand how social media and storytelling support broader marketing goals and use performance insights to drive brand growth and engagement. You thrive in collaborative environments, balance big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution, and are organized, curious, and motivated to create content that informs and connects with audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Execution
- Plan, create, and publish engaging content across key platforms, including Meta (Instagram/Facebook), LinkedIn, and emerging channels.
- Support content calendars and campaign planning aligned with broader marketing priorities and business objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate product updates, educational initiatives, and thought leadership into clear, audience-focused social content.
Content Creation & Brand Storytelling
- Design and produce high-quality content, including graphics, short- and long-form videos, photography, captions, and campaign assets.
- Adapt content to platform best practices, audience behaviors, and marketing goals while ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across social channels and marketing content touchpoints.
Community Management & Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely, thoughtful, and on-brand manner.
- Build meaningful relationships with online audiences and foster trust-driven, informative engagement.
- Track audience feedback, trends, and sentiment to inform content development and messaging.
Marketing Collaboration & Content Support
- Contribute to broader marketing content efforts, including blogs, emails, website updates, and conference events.
- Support content coordination and execution across marketing channels to ensure alignment, consistency, and impact.
- Travel within Canada and the U.S. may be required to assist with content creation, events, or campaigns.
Analytics & Optimization
- Measure and report on content and social performance, including reach, engagement and growth.
- Use performance insights to refine content strategy, improve campaigns, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Stay current on platform updates, content trends, and algorithm changes to continuously optimize performance.
Your Skills and Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in social media, digital content, communications, or marketing roles (healthcare or mission-driven environments a plus).
- Strong understanding of major social platforms, trends, tools, and analytics.
- Excellent visual and written communication skills with a keen eye for design and storytelling.
- Comfortable using social scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Metricool, GA4 or equivalent).
- Proficient in content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or equivalent).
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into better content decisions.
Your Qualifications:
- A degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience with video editing, photography, design, or AI tools such as Google Gemini, MidJourney, or Sora is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare, nutrition, patient advocacy, or clinical environments is a plus.
- Creative thinker with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and strong analytical skills.
