As our QA/QC Lead, you won’t just be following checklists; you will be the guardian of our product integrity. You will play a foundational role in refining our quality systems from the ground up, ensuring that every coating solution, membrane, cartridge and system we develop meets the highest standards of excellence. What Would I Be Doing?
As Evercloak’s QA/QC Lead, you will:

Prepare coating solutions and membrane samples to support internal testing and final product development.

Perform critical QC testing and inspections on raw materials, coating formulations, membranes, and membrane assemblies to ensure peak performance.

Develop and evolve our QA/QC methods, instrumentation, and infrastructure to assess membrane quality, consistency, and performance.

Support the development and execution of standardized operating procedures, to prepare lab-based coating solutions and membrane samples for testing.

Accurately collect, organize, and document sample preparation and evaluation data.

Support quality checks and documentation for related components and assemblies as needed, using defined checklists and acceptance criteria.

Maintain high-precision lab equipment, and ensure systems are operating properly and calibration standards are always met.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot deviations and eliminate product defects.

Contribute directly to the evolution of our Quality Management System (QMS) and lead the way during quality audits.

Has the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Your Background Likely Includes:

A degree or diploma in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a related field.

A minimum of 3 years experience in a lab, manufacturing, or QA/QC environment, including co-op or internship experience.

Familiarity with analytical techniques (like SEM, FTIR, or AFM) and a deep understanding of membrane fabrication or coating processes.

Exceptional organizational skills and a "safety-first" mindset when handling chemicals and technical equipment.

The ability to identify a process issue and work independently or with a team to find a lean, effective solution.
What Else Should I Know?

This is a 12-month, contract position, with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role.

Evercloak has a 40 hour work week.

This is a fully onsite position based in Kitchener, Ontario.

Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Proof of credentials and a satisfactory background check is required.

We are offering a competitive salary of $85 - $100k/year.

This job has a dynamic mix of laboratory and manufacturing settings and includes handling materials and equipment that may at times be heavy to move or operate.
