At FabricAir, we are looking for a Jr. Application Engineer to join our Inside Sales team in Thane. You will be at the technical heart of our projects in India, preparing designs and offers, supporting our channel partners and customers, and helping HVAC contractors and consultants get the most out of our fabric ducting solutions.

Your Role and Impact

As our Jr. Application Engineer, you will handle the design and quotation side of our projects and act as a technical point of contact for both internal colleagues and external customers and channel partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing designs and technical and commercial offers for tender projects and jobs in hand, using FabricAir’s own design software.

• Producing quotations, technical submittals and compliance documentation in line with the given technical specifications.

• Advising customers on the selection of the most suitable and cost-effective fabric ducting — without compromising on quality.

• Optimising designs against our standard solutions to achieve the best selection based on final drawings.

• Superimposing and managing FabricAir ducting layouts over customer project drawings in AutoCAD.

• Maintaining accurate records of all enquiries in CRM and EMS (Enquiry Management System), with particular attention to jobs in hand and tender-stage projects, and keeping the enquiry and order registers up to date.

• Troubleshooting complex system design challenges in order to simplify and improve the proposed design.

• Following up with clients on project status and tracking projects through to completion.

• Contributing new ideas that improve and streamline our design process.

• Coordinating with channel partners and their engineering teams on design work and execution support.

• Guiding HVAC contractors and channel partners on correct fabric duct design.

• Providing ongoing technical support, product information and design guidance to customers.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with colleagues across FabricAir’s India's organisation.

Success in the role is measured on the on-time delivery of designs and quotations, accurate management of the enquiry and order registers, and consistent, proactive follow-up with clients.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a curious, structured and service-minded engineer with strong problem-solving skills, close attention to detail and a proactive attitude. You enjoy solving technical challenges and communicating clearly with customers, you are comfortable working with drawings and detail, and you are motivated by learning a specialised field from the ground up.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) or equivalent.

• 0–2 years of experience in an HVAC-related role — recent graduates are welcome to apply.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD (essential) and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• A working understanding of thermal and air-conditioning fundamentals.

• Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written, including clear professional email correspondence (local language skills are an advantage).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office — Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

• An analytical, solution-oriented and self-motivated approach, with the ability to collaborate across cultures.

Experience with heat load calculations, CFD simulation or textile-based air distribution solutions is an advantage, but not a requirement.
