About Growcer
Growcer builds the infrastructure for food sovereignty. We're the world leader in modular container farms, with over 900 projects worldwide. We provide communities, Indigenous nations, schools, hospitals, and institutions across North America with the tools, training, and support to grow food locally, 365 days a year. We don't just sell container farms; we help communities go from dependence to self-reliance, one harvest at a time.
Growcer is entering its next phase of growth and scaling across North America. Effective Growcer employees are tenacious, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and are comfortable working on big-picture challenges with lots of autonomy.
If you want your work to be visible, your impact to be direct, and your mission to be one you'd be proud to explain at a dinner party, you'll feel right at home.
Position Summary
The Senior Account Executive is a quota-carrying closer. You find, run and sign container farm deals with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and Tribal Nations across Canada and the USA. You report to the Director of Sales & Community Relations.
You own your number. You'll work alongside Business Development, who open early conversations and prepare communities, and our Funding Strategy team, who match each project to the right grants and financing options.
This is a relationship and closing role. If you've sold heavy equipment, construction, health services or infrastructure to buyers with many decision-makers, and have worked with communities, you'll recognize the job. Deals are $200K to $1.5M+, involve Chief and Council, health, education and economic development leads, and typically take 18 to 24 months or longer. They're won through discovery, persistence and showing up.
Your first six months
- First 30 days: learn the offer, our clients and our sales process alongside our team; join live discovery and council meetings.
- By 90 days: own a book of roughly 20 inherited opportunities, with clean next steps and close dates in HubSpot.
- By 180 days: have built roughly 20 new, sourced qualified opportunities and be driving your first deals to signature.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Generation
- Self-source new pipeline through outbound, referrals, events and community relationships
- Convert first conversations opened by Business Development into qualified opportunities
- Hold a steady weekly rhythm of discovery meetings and active stakeholder meetings
- Partner with Business Development, Marketing and the Funding Strategy team to prioritize regions and communities
Consultative Selling & Deal Ownership
- Run consultative discovery: each community's food goals, decision process, site, timing and funding path
- Confirm vision, scope and engagement, and build the business case with the community
- Prepare and present proposals, budgetary estimates and business cases to leadership and council
- Navigate respectfully through each community's decision-making process
- Drive deals through Band/Tribal Council Resolutions, payment terms and agreements to signature and deposit
- Meet leadership in person on every before it's forecast to close
- Hand off cleanly to Operations and Customer Success for installation and onboarding
Relationship Building & Community Engagement
- Multithread stakeholders (Chief and Council, Health, Education, Lands/Water, Economic Development) and build long-term trust
- Communicate with cultural care; observe protocols and community decision-making processes
- Travel to communities for site visits, council presentations and signing ceremonies
- Be a reliable, responsive point of contact
Funding & Deal Structuring
- Partner with the Funding Strategy team to match each project to the right services, grants and financing programs
- Align financing timelines with council and procurement timelines to keep deals moving
- Run financing and funding options in parallel; when grants stall, move capital-ready communities to a direct purchase or lease conversation
Events
- Represent Growcer at Indigenous and Tribal conferences, gatherings and trade shows
- Own pre-event outreach and booth coverage, and turn event contacts into pipeline
Forecasting & Reporting
- Own pipeline hygiene in HubSpot: accurate stages, next steps, close dates and stakeholder notes
- Report weekly KPIs and give honest, accurate forecasts; flag risks early
- Share what you hear from communities to sharpen our offers, materials and process

- Asset: selling to First Nations, Indigenous communities, Tribal Nations, or public sector, health, education or economic development buyers
- Transactional or inside-sales-only backgrounds won't be a fit for this role
