Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Manage full-cycle recruitment using Odoo Recruitment (job postings, sourcing, applicant tracking, interviews, offers).
    • Focus on recruiting software engineers, R&D specialists, and technical roles.
    • Support hiring managers in defining roles and evaluating candidates.
    • Lead onboarding for new employees.
  • Payroll & Benefits
    • Prepare and administer payroll using Wagepoint (data entry, updates, reconciliations).
    • Ensure accuracy of employee information, hours, deductions, and benefits.
    • Provide payroll reports for review and approval.
    • Manage employee benefits and liaise with providers.
  • Employee Engagement & Communication
    • Organize monthly staff meetings.
    • Draft and distribute monthly newsletters.
    • Support culture initiatives and employee recognition.
  • Performance & Development
    • Support managers with performance review cycles.
    • Identify training and development opportunities.
  • Policy & Compliance
    • Maintain HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook.
    • Ensure compliance with Canadian labor and workplace safety standards.
  • HR Metrics & Reporting
    • Track and report on HR KPIs (turnover, retention, recruitment pipeline).
    • Provide insights for leadership decision-making.
  • Employee Relations
    • Act as a point of contact for HR-related questions and concerns.
    • Support conflict resolution and employee relations.
  • Systems & Process Improvement
    • Maintain HRIS tools and documentation.
    • Streamline processes for onboarding, performance, and time-off tracking.
  • Office & Culture Support
    • Help coordinate employee engagement activities.
    • Maintain company-wide HR calendar.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Engineering.
  • Experience recruiting software engineers, R&D talent, and other technical roles.
  • 2+ years of HR experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and Quebec employment Laws
  • Experience with Odoo Recruitment and Wagepoint payroll.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written).

  • Experience implementing HR systems and process improvements.
  • Experience with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Exposure to scaling HR in growth-stage startups.
