Responsibilities
- Precision Assembly: Manual assembly of miniature transmissions and housings using jigs, glues, and hand tools.
- Component Modification: Use a drill press and Dremel to modify parts for fit; perform basic PCB integration.
- Operations & Reporting: Log build time and task status daily via ERP (Odoo); report technical inconsistencies to the Lead Tech.
- Safety & Upkeep: Maintain an organized, "Cleanroom Lite" workspace and strictly follow shop safety protocols.
Must Have
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in a shop or assembly environment (e.g., wood/metal shops, bike shops, or production lines).
- Exceptional manual coordination and a steady hand for small, repetitive tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and the discipline to track time and tasks accurately.
- Experience with basic power tools and precision hand toolkits (iFixit-style).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to multitask and maintain high quality under changing goals.
- Comfortable working with incomplete instructions and providing feedback to improve processes.
- Fluency in English and French
- Nice to have
- Technical Formation: Trades, certificates, engineering, mechanics etc.
- Software: Previous experience with Odoo or similar inventory/ERP systems
- Skills: Soldering, 3D printing (SLA/FDM), or basic lathe operation.
