What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end design of Haply software User Experience, from the initial onboarding, through discovery and learning, to maximized productivity.
  • Take a rough idea to a shipped interface: wireframes, prototypes, and the detailed work that makes it feel intentional.
  • Design for creatives and experts operating serious hardware, where clarity usually beats decoration.
  • Partner closely with full-stack software and manufacturing design teams through implementation, not just handoff.
  • Build and maintain a design system that scales as the surfaces multiply, and guide Haply’s development team in delivering experience excellence.
  • Know the difference between shipped and right, and have the conviction to close that gap before calling something done.
  • Collaborate with the R&D department on user research, user experimentation, and learning samples.
  • Own the User Experience product requirements of Haply’s software stack.
  • Own the User Experience quality bar for what Haply ships, and the judgment call on when something isn’t there yet.
  • Ship a v1 design system plus a measurable and significant onboarding speedup improvement.
  • Establish a User Satisfaction baseline (method + number), then set and hit a concrete target for it by month 6.

Must Have

  • 5+ years of product design experience, some on complex or technical software.
  • Portfolio showing range, from early concept to shipped, polished detail.
  • Comfort working closely with engineers day to day.
  • Strong visual and interaction design fundamentals.
  • Portfolio evidence of shipped work, not just concept work.
  • A portfolio showing work they went back and fixed once it was live, rather than work that was shipped and forgotten.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with design-to-code workflows, design tokens, or component libraries.
  • Experience designing for digital content creation, in relation or with hardware or robotics products.
  • Bilingual French/English.
