THE ROLE: Assistant Controller
As an Assistant Controller at Intellijoint Surgical you will help build the next generation of financial operations at Intellijoint. You will play a key role in owning our core accounting processes, reporting and controls – shaping the future of Finance at a scaling MedTech company. Reporting to the Controller, you will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization, including Operations, Commercial, and R&D.

THE DETAILS: What You Will Do
Manage accounting operations: review journal entries, payroll, revenue, AR, AP, inventory, and cost of sales
Play a lead role in streamlining and implementing accounting processes and systems
Establish and monitor internal controls that scale with the business
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for each department
Consolidate and review budgets across departments in line with company strategy
Work closely with external auditors, funders, and lenders
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information
Coordinate the year-end audit and prepare audited financial statements
Oversee monthly financial statements and external reporting requirements
Support new system implementations from a finance and controls perspective
Identify and lead process improvements and automation initiatives
Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting packages for the management team and board
Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
CPA designation with public accounting experience (Big 4 or equivalent strongly preferred)
Solid understanding of accounting principles, controls, and reporting
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills and comfort learning new systems
Clear and confident communication skills — written and verbal
Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
Natural curiosity, strong analytical thinking, and a desire to improve how things work
Interest in mentorship and team leadership as you grow
