eCAMION has maintained its flat management structure and start-up culture, despite its steady growth in the industry for the past ten years. You will be working in high-performing fast-paced project groups under the coordination of our Director of Product Innovation.

What areas you will be working on:
This position will be focusing on the testing, manufacturing, and deployment of ChargeHub
  • Assist the design (simulation, circuit analysis, controller, etc) and prototyping of high-power DC/DC Converters and Li-ion batteries
  • Assist the prototyping, testing, commissioning, documentation, and certification of BESS & EVFC
  • Assist the communication with external partners and design knowledge transfer
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and User Acceptance Tests (UAT)
  • Analyse equipment performance data to help pinpoint the potential source of the flaw
  • Participate in component datasheet review & sample testing
  • An introduction to Li-ion Battery Energy Storage Systems and Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure.
  • Industry insights on Energy Storage, Microgrid, Transportation Electrification
  • Background knowledge and hands-on experience on converter topologies, converter control & Li-ion batteries
  • Schematics-drawing, simulation, and engineering documentation skills
  • How to interact with external entities, academic collaborators, suppliers, inspectors, etc.
  • Project management, leadership, and teamwork
  • This role will require some occasional travel both in Canada and USA
You will also be responsible for the following:
  • Document all technical details of your design work
  • Prepare application notes on your design and findings
  • Make design progress reports, summaries of test results and site work completion records
  • Assist with special projects as required

Job Requirement:
Basic Requirement:
  • Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science (Energy Systems)
  • You have completed structured learnings on both Power Electronics and control systems (e.g. ECE520/ECE1066 from UofT or ECE663 from U-Waterloo)
  • You have 3 years of experiences designing, simulating, prototyping and testing converters and inverters
  • You are familiar components for practical design – transistors, passive components, pulse transformers, EMI filters and transducers
  • You are familiar with circuit simulation tools (e.g. LTSPICE) and control loop design tools (Scilab, Numpy)
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)
  • You are a team player who likes to overcome engineering challenges with others and open to feedback
  • You are not afraid to get your hands dirty. You will not only design things at your desk but also get involved in the testing lab, manufacturing plant and potential site visit
  • You must be legally entitled to work in Canada (a copy of a valid work permit will be required for international students)
