We are a rapidly growing cleantech company scaling toward and beyond $500M in revenue. We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Accounting & Finance to build and lead a world-class finance organization capable of supporting complex manufacturing operations, global supply chains, and stringent financial compliance requirements.
This role requires a leader who has successfully built internal controls, developed high-performing teams, and operated within sophisticated financial environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with operational depth across manufacturing, supply chain, treasury, and ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead all accounting and finance functions including financial reporting, compliance, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
- Develop scalable financial infrastructure to support rapid growth and operational complexity.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team in long-term financial planning and capital strategy.
- Support fundraising activities, investor relations, and banking relationships.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve internal controls and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
- Lead audit processes and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Oversee financial reporting accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.
- Provide financial oversight of manufacturing operations, including:
- Cost accounting and inventory management
- Standard costing and variance analysis
- Supply chain financial optimization
- Capital expenditure planning
- Partner with operations to improve margins, efficiency, and working capital performance.
- Oversee treasury management, including cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Optimize capital structure and manage risk exposure.
- Support debt financing and strategic banking initiatives.
- Lead ERP implementation, optimization, and integration initiatives.
- Contribute to the company’s technology roadmap as it relates to finance and operations.
- Ensure systems scalability to support rapid expansion.
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Develop organizational structure to support growth from small teams to enterprise scale.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance.
- CPA designation required, Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- Experience working in companies with revenues exceeding $500M.
- Background in manufacturing and cost accounting required.
- Experience in banking, treasury management, and financial compliance.
- Previous experience at a public accounting or auditing firm strongly preferred.
- Experience in cleantech, sustainability, or industrial technology sectors preferred.
- Prior experience as a VP of Operations or CFO is a strong asset.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing:
- Supply chain finance
- Manufacturing operations
- ERP systems implementation
- Financial systems scaling
- Proven ability to build internal controls and scalable financial infrastructure.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance and support strategic business goals.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
