Job Description:

TD's AI2 (Analytics, Insights & Artificial Intelligence) team is leading TD's transformation to a data-driven organization.


Our mission includes:

  • Establishing and maintaining best-in-class data and analytics throughout the bank (e.g., analytics that provide actionable and valuable insights, both within and across divisions)
  • Executing projects that contribute directly to the business, developing strong analytics expertise, driving standard methods, tools & processes and promoting leading practices
  • Engaging analysts at the local and line of business (LOB) level so that TD can drive business value with data - generating LOB and cross-LOB insights that drive enterprise performance

AI2 provides consultative support with data & analytics-based business insights and/or solutions to guide decision making and/or strategic planning. AI2 is an exciting team to be a part of as we are transforming how we provide key insights and opportunities for our business partners to better serve our customers.

The Wealth AI2 team is looking for a talented and well-rounded Data Scientist II to join the team.

The ideal candidate is client-centric and sees bigger picture and can work effectively across Business Segments and functions to deliver on relationship-based service models across OneWealth and OneTD.

Job Description:

The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and analytical partners to deliver impactful solutions that improve client and colleague experience and drive value for the organization.

The candidate may be responsible for (but is not limited to):

  • Developing, validating, and applying foundational data assets that drive OneTD and relationship banking models, like High Net Worth (HNW), Segment Strategy, and Journeys
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across AI2 (central and spoke teams), DaaS, Business, and Finance stakeholders
  • Communicate data-driven insights to influence Wealth and Enterprise strategies

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Capable of operating in uncertain or complex environments; adaptable to change
  • Able to breakdown and translate a business problem into tractable analytical deliverables
  • Have Strong Business Acumen
  • Curious about how the business operates, especially in a OneTD framework; ability to leverage this understanding to frame analyses and recommendations

Have Strong Technical Competencies

  • Experience with a range of tools including SQL, python, pyspark and the Azure Databricks environment
  • Understand how data are generated across the organization and can consolidate disparate views
  • Detail-oriented with strong data and code validation practices through the systematic assurance of data integrity, and reviewing and debugging data pipelines; adherence to coding and QA/QC best practices
  • Experience with creating production ready data pipelines including building in related ongoing checks and automation/scheduling
  • Broad knowledge of and experience in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytical approaches

  • Ability to synthesize, distill and communicate findings and insights from data analyses to key partners
  • Recommendations are considered, impactful and add value to the organization
