Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Financial Planning, the Associate Vice President & Region Head is responsible for driving regional performance by translating national strategy into actionable results. This role delivers sustainable growth, ensures consistent client outcomes, builds strong talent pipelines, promotes operational efficiency, and manages risk effectively. The Region Head plays a key role in integrating Financial Planning within the broader One TD ecosystem, representing the business both internally and externally, and overseeing regional infrastructure to support business, workforce, and client needs.

Role Accountabilities

  • Regional Business Performance: Full accountability for regional P&L outcomes, including asset growth, revenue, profitability, market share, and productivity.

  • Strategy Execution: Defines and implements a market-relevant regional strategy aligned with the national Financial Planning agenda, translating long-term vision into clear priorities and measurable outcomes.

  • Leadership Development: Builds and leads a strong regional leadership team, attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, and ensuring succession strength and future-ready capability.

  • Culture & Performance: Fosters a high-performance, inclusive culture, holding leaders accountable for results and behaviors, and enhancing colleague experience through coaching and recognition.

  • Operational Excellence: Establishes scalable operating models that improve efficiency, consistency, and quality of execution while reducing complexity.

  • Client & Colleague Experience: Provides executive leadership for the end-to-end experience, ensuring Financial Planning delivers differentiated, advice-led solutions that deepen client relationships.

  • Risk & Governance: Ensures effective risk, governance, and control management, aligning with enterprise policies and regulatory requirements while supporting responsible growth.

  • Brand Ambassador: Acts as the senior regional representative, strengthening the brand and engaging with key stakeholders and community forums.

  • Infrastructure Oversight: Manages regional infrastructure, including Financial Planning hubs and real estate, to optimize support for business and client needs.

Shared Responsibilities

  • Leads regional execution of enterprise and Wealth strategies in partnership with TD Wealth, TDCT, WSS, Retail, and Business Banking to embed One TD priorities.

  • Collaborates with product, segment strategy, and distribution teams for specialized Financial Planning solutions.

  • Supports rollout of strategic initiatives, balancing speed, simplicity, and change management.

  • Drives adoption of consistent sales and operating models for sustainable client engagement.

  • Partners with change and practice management teams to enhance efficiency and execution discipline.

  • Participates in cross-functional talent planning, succession, and development discussions.

  • Supports a growth-oriented culture through recognition, engagement, and leadership development.

  • Ensures effective local risk management in alignment with enterprise frameworks.
