Job Description:

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Monitor service and control standards against overall business and departmental objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners to support high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure timely reporting and escalation of issues, as appropriate.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities; research options and recommend enhancements.
  • Ensure the team adheres to procedures and guidelines to meet internal and external requirements.
  • Provide guidance on complex issues to internal and external stakeholders; keep senior management informed of significant matters.
  • Lead, coach, and develop staff to meet challenges, deliver on departmental objectives, and achieve their potential.
  • Manage team performance by setting clear objectives, providing ongoing feedback, and completing performance reviews in accordance with company policy and standards.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to foster integrity, accountability, and collaboration across the team.
  • Promote an inclusive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and enables the team to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Capability Requirements

  • A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Capital Market Operations.
  • Experience in funding, intraday liquidity, and/or nostro account management.
  • Knowledge of capital markets products and related operations (e.g., Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Securities Lending, Money Markets).
  • Demonstrated people leadership and management capabilities.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead individuals and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong partnership and consultative skills to add value and facilitate decision-making and consensus building.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and business stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to identify broader themes and apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to determine appropriate resolutions.
  • Proven ability to operationalize strategy, controls, and standards.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize multiple tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, including the ability to influence, negotiate, and deliver well-supported recommendations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment while delivering accurate, timely results.

Education/Accreditation:

University degree in STEM or Quantitative field of study.

Securities accreditation (e.g., CFA, FRM) is considered an asset.
