Job Description:

ServiceNow Architect (Workflows, Integrations & Innovation)

The solution architect is responsible for designing and delivering advanced ServiceNow solutions across workflows, integrations, custom scoped applications, and emerging platform capabilities such as Workflow Data Fabric and Now Assist. This role ensures that cross-functional processes are automated, APIs and integrations are robust, and the platform evolves in step with business objectives. It will also support the enablement of new Platform applications, modules and capabilities to drive our innovation strategy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Solution Design – Architect end-to-end workflow solutions leveraging Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and custom scoped applications.
  • Platform & Integration Architecture – Design and govern REST/SOAP APIs, Scripted REST APIs, MID Server integrations, and Workflow Data Fabric configurations that connect ServiceNow to enterprise systems
  • AI & Automation – Lead adoption of Now Assist (generative AI), Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, and advanced automation patterns to accelerate service delivery and reduce manual effort
  • Technical Leadership – Partner with Architecture Team to define development standards for custom scoped apps, Script Includes, Business Rules, and Update Sets; mentor developers on platform best practices and upgrade readiness
  • Roadmap Strategy – Partner with leadership to define a 3-year platform roadmap focused on new feature adoption, integration expansion, and Now Platform innovation (e.g., Now Assist, App Engine, Workflow Data Fabric)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

This is not an entry level position. High performing architects would possess:

  • 7+ years of ServiceNow experience with at least 3-4 years specifically in architectural design
  • Experience with large-scale workflow automation, IntegrationHub, custom scoped app development, or platform-wide rollouts preferred
  • Mastery of JavaScript, Glide API, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and Flow Designer
  • Deep understanding of ITIL v4 Frameworks

Required Certifications

  • Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD)
  • Certified Technical Architect (CTA) at a minimum, Certified Master Architect (CMA) preferred
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – IntegrationHub or App Engine preferred
  • Micro-Certification – Now Assist, Flow Designer preferred
