The Strategic & Editorial Content (SEC) Group is TD Wealth's content centre of excellence, responsible for developing editorial, strategic and technical content that highlights the depth and breadth of TD Wealth expertise and showcases our thought leadership to TD clients and the world. The team is comprised of talented content professionals who bring together their editorial, production, creative and technical expertise to create industry-leading financial content across digital and broadcast streams. SEC properties include: MoneyTalk "Brought to you by TD," available at www.moneytalkgo.com and distributed across multiple TD ecosystems, MoneyTalk Live, streamed daily through TD WebBroker, and MoneyTalk on BNN Bloomberg, broadcast weekly on CTV properties, as well as live and original programming on multiple radio stations and various social channels each week.
Job Description
We are seeking an Associate Content Editor on a short term assignment to support the MoneyTalk team in writing, editing and publishing articles and infographics that bring personal finance concepts to life for TD Wealth audiences. The successful candidate will have proven experience producing written editorial content, a deep interest in personal finance, and skill in translating complex concepts into sharp compelling insights for a wider audiences.
Job Responsibilities
Own and manage the publishing cycle of a multiple publishing projects – from brief to draft, review and publishing – in a fast-paced newsroom environment
Work a "beat" of High Net Worth Advisors and Planners within TD Wealth, identifying topics and trends that matter to TD clients and advisors
Monitor Wealth Management industry sources for key updates, policy changes and trends that could impact clients
Pitch stories and infographics to the Editorial team and business, and take assignments to find editorial narratives that align with business priorities
Research and write compelling content that is accurate, sharp and encourages clients to deepen relationships with Financial Planning and Private Wealth Management advisors
Collaborate with internal partners within TD's Wealth Planning Office and creative services teams to ensure accuracy and alignment in message as well as best-in-class presentation and packaging
Use available Gen AI tools to streamline and improve processes – finding simpler and faster methods of content production
Collaborate with Social Media Producers and Data Visualization team to ensure content has intuitive, engaging touchpoints in Social and Broadcast channels
Work with content management tools (WordPress, Sprinklr, etc.) to support the publishing process and ensure content accuracy and appeal in public-facing and internal TD channels
Understand and manage control guardrails in a regulated environment (legal, compliance, branding)
Job Requirement
5+ years of experience in journalism or communications in a relevant field (financial planning, business or marketing)
Deep knowledge of wealth planning topics and issues
Proficiency with structured content and familiarity with current and emerging publishing trends and platforms, which could include Adobe Creative Cloud and other content publishing solutions (WordPress)
Project management experience and proficiency in creating content from complex technical and policy documents
This is a 12 month Short Term Assignment
