Job Description:
Job Role/Responsibilities
1. Regional Third-Party Arrangements and Outsourcing Governance
Provide leadership for Asia-Pacific third party & outsourcing governance, ensuring alignment with TPRM standards and evolving regulatory expectations.
Serve as the principal Asia-Pacific authority on regional regulatory regimes, shaping interpretations and advising senior leadership.
Drive regional harmonisation of outsourcing practices and regulatory readiness across Asia-Pacific markets.
Own the accuracy, integrity, and strategic management of Asia-Pacific third party arrangement registers.
Drive timely completion of Third Party risk deliverables and the effective remediation of key risk issues across Asia‑Pacific.
2. Chairing & Managing the Asia Pacific Outsourcing Working Group
Chair the Asia-Pacific Outsourcing Working Group, ensuring cross-functional alignment across Technology, Operations, Compliance, Vendor Management, and Business Units.
Set governance direction, drive issue resolution, and ensure cross-market alignment on outsourcing expectations.
Act as the central conduit for regional risk insights, regulatory themes, and market trends.
3. Material Outsourcing & Due Diligence Leadership
Lead end-to-end governance of material third party and outsourcing evaluations, including materiality assessments and due diligence.
Provide expert challenge and approval authority for high-risk proposals across Asia-Pacific.
Oversee ongoing monitoring of high-risk vendors, ensuring control robustness and timely escalation of emerging concerns.
Partner with Vendor Management to strengthen outsourcing risk program.
4. Monitoring, Controls, Incident Management & Reporting
Provide clear, concise reporting to senior management and relevant risk management committees on Third Party risk exposures, themes, and control effectiveness.
Translate complex or technical risk concepts into practical, decision‑useful insights for non‑technical stakeholders.
5. Regional Responsibilities & Strategic Enablement
Act as a Subject Matter Expert on Third Party and outsourcing risk, providing advisory support for new product initiatives and outsourcing proposals.
Cultivate and promote a strong Third Party risk culture across Asia‑Pacific through guidance, challenge, and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
6. Other Responsibilities
The role includes support for Customer Due Diligence for APAC TDGIS business.
Own and execute end‑to‑end KYC due diligence for TD Asset Management existing clients, ensuring compliance with local regulations and TD enterprise standards.
Provide risk assessment, issue escalation, and ongoing client review support in partnership with Compliance, Risk, and business stakeholders.
Drive strong governance, quality, and control outcomes by maintaining accurate KYC records and supporting audits, regulatory exams, and continuous process improvement.
Job Requirements
Solid knowledge of compliance governance, compliance management practices, , standards & strategy.
Relevant Compliance, Risk, and/or Audit experience (financial services industry preferred). Knowledge of outsourcing requirements preferred.
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing and ambiguous initiatives or requirements and ability to work collaboratively across functions and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as confident presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to take initiative and work independently and in a team environment.
