Job Description:
The Data Program Governance Manager is accountable for overseeing the governance of data-related programs that align with strategic objectives in Wealth Data Strategy, Enablement, and Transformation. This role ensures that programs are executed with disciplined adherence to governance, risk, and compliance standards, and delivers value through effective oversight of program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and assurance of outcomes.
The following are the accountabilities:
Lead the end-to-end governance of data programs, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
Define program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in alignment with enterprise strategy
Establish and maintain governance frameworks, standards, and controls for program execution
Ensure programs adhere to regulatory, internal, and industry standards
Engage business and technology partners to ensure program alignment and effective communication
Report program progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and disciplined execution
Apply enterprise risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and escalate program risks
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the program lifecycle
Foster collaboration across teams and drive continuous improvement in program governance practices
Promote best practices in program delivery, assurance, and compliance
Job Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Technology, or a related field
10+ years in program or project management within financial services, technology, or data-driven environments
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder programs with a focus on governance and assurance
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Proficiency in program/project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA)
Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
Expertise in governance frameworks and compliance standards
PMP or equivalent preferred
Agile certification
