Job Description:

The Senior Product Analyst, US Wealth is expected to support product management in completing both strategic and tactical initiatives related to the ongoing development and support of the TD Wealth Products & Platforms. This includes but is not limited to Advisory, Brokerage, Financial Planning, and Insurance & Annuity businesses.

Primary areas of focus include data gathering and translation to support new product evaluation; carrying out process improvement and initiatives from requirement definition to implementation; working with various business groups to identify opportunities for process improvement; assisting with sponsor and strategy launches; maintaining and improving relationships.

The department supports several Cash Sweep programs, with a 3rd Party Broker Dealer and TD Wealth. The department is responsible for end to end product ownership, oversight and monitoring of sweep programs involving insured deposit sweep options and money market fund sweep options. Third party oversight is a key focus of the department.

Depth & Scope:

  • Supports and resolve advisors day to day questions and issues around assigned product and platforms
  • Works with large amounts of data, facts, figures, number crunching and analyze it and make recommendations in improving the business
  • Evaluates product metrics, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings
  • Presents their findings or translate the data into an understandable documents and business cases
  • Monthly reporting by business line
  • Breaks down cost and profitability analysis
  • Manages small projects from analysis to implementation working with operations, vendors and technology
  • Supports internal procedures and processes required to maintaining daily account activity
  • Performs workflow & business analysis resulting in operational procedures to meet business needs
  • Assists in analyzing new business opportunities to assess effects on workflow
  • Liaises with vendors to coordinate product enhancements and platform change management
  • May assist in business plans leveraging Acquisition and Segments teams to increase new account growth and track P&L impact
  • Assists product teams efforts to deliver financial results for the product/product suite via operation of all available levers: pricing, margin, volume etc., creates and delivers business cases to achieve strategic business results
  • Supports and resolves sales team day to day questions and issues
  • Supports training efforts on new system/solution rollout

Education & Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree with a quantitative discipline
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Strong database background/skills
  • Project management skills are a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
  • Knowledge of and/or skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis. methods and reporting techniques
  • Skill in using computer applications including MS Office (strong Access and Excel skills a must) with an understanding of database design and trouble shooting
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Licensing (Role Dependent): Series 7, 63 and 65 (or 66), Life & Health or willingness to get licensed is a plus

  • Strong financial and communication skills
  • Understanding of risk identification, control creation and maintenance and effective procedure creation
