Job Description:
TD Securities provides a wide range of capital market products and services to corporate, government, and institutional clients who choose us for our knowledge, innovation, and experience in the following key areas of finance: Investment and Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, Interest Rate, Currency and Derivative Products. TD Securities works with clients around the world, and our services include the underwriting and distribution of new debt and equity issues, providing advice on strategic acquisitions and divestitures, and executing daily trading and investment needs.
The Corporate Risk Solutions Group is part of the Global Markets, Sales and Trading business.
The Montreal team covers Quebec clients spanning government, public and private companies from TD Securities Corporate and Investment Bank, and TD Commercial and Business Bank. We work in partnerships with our team members in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary, as well as several US and Global locations.
The products structured by the team encompass solutions to all interest rates, currency and other risk exposures a business may encounter. Our Corporate Risk Solution team is a franchise business that acts as a 'trusted advisor' by educating, assisting and executing our clients with tailored solutions for their risk management needs.
Job Description
Reporting to Managing Director of Corporate Risk Solutions responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Help cover Corporate, Commercial, Government and Institutional accounts on their interest rate, equity, FX, and commodity derivatives needs, with a focus on our Commercial accounts
- Support and facilitate the day-to-day admin requirements in collaboration with other team members of the Quebec Corporate Risk Solutions Group, including trade and revenues reporting
- Collect information from the various sales and trading desks to help formulate daily client commentary
- Help prepare presentations for various marketing efforts
- Develop data analytical tools in excel to analyze market trends and activity
- Liaise with other internal departments, Corporate and Commercial Banking, Credit, Investment Banking, Equities, Fixed Income and FX to align with our strategic objectives
Job Requirements
Work experience in the financial service industry is required along with but not limited to, the following:
- Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and French
- University degree/College Diploma in Finance, Mathematics, Business or Economics
- MBA, CPA, FRM and/or CFA considered assets
- Strong knowledge and understanding of a range of Financial Products including Equity, FX, Fixed Income, Money Markets, or Interest Rate Derivatives
- 2yrs+ experience working in Financial Derivatives
- Ability to work under tight deadlines independently or in a team-based environment
- Demonstrates analytical thinking and sound judgement when making decisions
- Good organizational skills, highly motivated and adaptable to a changing business environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet-based analysis including Artificial Intelligence tools
- Develop and deploy VBA and Python-based automation tools to streamline desk workflows and improve reporting efficiency
- Foster and maintain effective working relationships with our internal partners
- Understand and comply with TD Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements
