Commitment: Part-time (Advisory Role), up to 2 hours per month/6 hours per quarter (initial term 9 months)
Overview

Today, we offer timely and personalized therapy for individuals, couples, families, group therapy, and psychological assessments. Our platform has facilitated the delivery of 100,000 therapy sessions since our founding in 2019, supported by a community of 350+ licensed Psychologists, Social Workers, and Psychotherapists across four provinces in Canada.
Layla Care is seeking an experienced psychologist to join our Clinical Advisory Board. As an advisory board member, you will provide expert guidance on clinical programs, mental health initiatives, and strategic decisions related to our mental health services. This would be a paid engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Advisory Role: Provide clinical expertise and guidance to the team in their development and evaluation of mental health programs and services.
  • Quality Initiatives: Review and advise on clinical processes and practice decisions to ensure they align with best practices and current research in psychology and mental health care.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Advise on strategies to engage stakeholders, including clients, therapists, and health care professionals, to ensure the delivery of client-centric mental health care.
  • Ethical and Legal Standards: Advise the team to help ensure that all programs and services comply with ethical, regulatory, and professional standards in psychology.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and research in psychology, contributing innovative ideas that can be integrated into Layla’s services.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.); Licensed to practice in Ontario
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on psychotherapy, diagnostic mental health assessments, and evidence-based interventions
  • Experience providing clinical supervision
  • Combination of work experience in public & private healthcare environments, including private practice
  • Knowledge of ethics in the psychology field
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health care
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to foster innovation and best practices in mental health
