The LinkedIn Infrastructure Technical Program Management Group is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the Online Infrastructure TPM team, part of LinkedIn’s Infrastructure Engineering organization. This group of ~2,000 engineers builds and operates large-scale systems, from physical data centers, observability platforms, end-to-end validation pipelines to in-house data solutions, and AI/ML platforms. We are also committed to open-sourcing our latest technologies and contributing to the technical community.

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) will drive improvements to our advanced Online Infrastructure, including in-house data systems, entity management platforms, query engine serving layers, and experimentation platforms.

In this role, you will lead key initiatives that empower Product Engineering teams to build LinkedIn’s products faster, serving hundreds of millions of users. You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders across the company—from Product to Infrastructure—to deliver high-impact solutions. Additionally, you will work closely with Infrastructure Engineering teams to facilitate seamless migrations and enhancements.

The Infrastructure TPM role involves initiating, planning, and executing medium to large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide programs that drive strategic advancements in our technology ecosystem. At this level of professional development, the Senior Technical Program Manager will be able to concisely articulate all of the interactions and factors that contribute to the final outcome.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong balance of leadership, organizational, and technical skills, excelling in environments where influence is key. They will demonstrate a track record of successfully leading teams and programs to deliver impactful results. This role requires expertise in executing Infrastructure projects using best practices and driving intermediate-to-large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide programs from initiation to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop plans including application releases/updates, data/hardware migrations, and site stability/performance improvements.
• Develop a comprehensive product roadmap and strategy by working together with Engineering team to ensure success metrics, technical design and other cross functional teams to get buy-in for the product vision.
• Discover inefficiencies in our production pipelines and drive solutions to completion.
• Partner with Director/Sr. Manager level leadership on project execution and team efficiency.
• You will help teams be more efficient, see the big picture, and ensure processes scale appropriately with the company.
• Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation, and learning.
• Manage and maintain project backlogs and ensure forward momentum with project execution.
• Lead efforts to resolve project conflicts and establish appropriate resolution paths.
• Manage dependencies between multiple projects.
• Mentor junior talent in best practices for planning and execution.
• Develop strong partnerships with technology and business leaders.
• Assess and mitigate risk exposure
• Manage resource planning.

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S./B.A. Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Technical Program and Product management, including feature development, roadmap management and experience in Agile Methods within an SRE or infrastructure development team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of technical leadership with a track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner.
• Demonstrated understanding of technology-based product lifecycle management including development launch and management phases and primary roles/responsibilities and deliverables of key organizational functions.
• Good analytic skills to translate technical requirements and designs into successful action plans.
• Experience leading small-to-medium dynamic programs and projects with cross-functional matrixed resources working in a fast paced collaborative environment.
• Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders set direction and approach mobilize and motivate teams and execute with limited information and ambiguity.
• Proven problem-solving skills to anticipate the risks of non-performance and incorporate prevention and remediation measures within the implementation plan.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across different functions and optimally influence senior business partners.
• Demonstrated conflict resolution skills combined with strong negotiation ability delivered with a high level of influence and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.

The pay range for this role is 112,000 to 183,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
