Job Description
This role will be based in New York, San Francisco, or Sunnyvale.

LinkedIn’s Consumer Experience team is responsible for the core feed experience—the front door to LinkedIn—for over 1 billion members. Our mission is to ensure members’ time on LinkedIn is consistently productive, informative, and well-spent.
We own both the architecture of the feed and the content ecosystem that powers it—including video, news, conversations, and more. Our work shapes how members discover, connect, and engage within LinkedIn. The work is complex, high-visibility, and a strategic priority for the company.
As a Senior Product Designer on the Feed team, you’ll define the next phase of LinkedIn’s evolution, crafting intuitive, member-focused experiences at scale. You’ll work on well-funded initiatives with strong executive backing, driving design-led innovation with autonomy. Basic Qualifications
The pay range for this role is $123,000 to $201,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.

Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end product design, from ideation to prototyping and final execution, ensuring a user-centered approach.
- Explore and validate new interaction models, patterns, and engagement mechanics for the feed experience.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content designers to align on strategy, goals, and execution.
- Leverage qualitative and quantitative data to iterate and refine designs.
- Advocate for inclusive design principles to ensure a great experience for diverse user needs.
- Set a high bar for visual and interaction design, ensuring that experiences feel intuitive, polished, and delightful.
- Present and articulate design decisions and trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of feedback, learning, and growth within the team.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing shipped work on complex digital products.
- BA/BS degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Background in interaction and visual design, with a deep understanding of typography, layout, and UI patterns.
- UX skills, including information architecture, user flows, and designing for engagement and retention.
- Experience in Figma for designing and prototyping.
- Data-informed mindset, comfortable using qualitative and quantitative insights to shape design decisions.
- Collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers.
- Experience contributing to or working within a design system while maintaining creative flexibility.
- Ability to prototype at varying levels of fidelity, from wireframes to high-fidelity interactive mockups.
- Understanding of accessibility best practices and designing for diverse users.
- Previous work on AI-driven or algorithmic content products (e.g., feed ranking, recommendations, or social graph exploration).
- Experience working on large-scale consumer social products with high engagement and retention goals.
- Experience designing for feeds, discovery, or content recommendation systems, with an understanding of personalization and ranking.
- Experience in delivering medium to large-scale projects independently or with some support from senior ICs or Managers
- Experience with motion design or micro interactions to enhance content experie nces.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies to collaborate more effectively with engineers.
- Experience in delivering design solutions for unstructured problems that have some dependencies on other products/teams
