The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. This role will be based in Sunnyvale, CA.
GTM (Go-To-Market) team is a cross-functional team that powers all aspects of GTM technology stack spanning across sales, support, marketing & finance systems. GTM team is responsible for bringing to reality the unified GTM vision that enables our customers to do business “with” linkedin with ease as well as enables employees to do business “at” linkedin with ease. This team is critical in enabling the rails to get product into the hands of our customers as well as ensuring our customers are successful with them.
As the VP of GTM Engineering, you will spearhead the technology strategy and execution for our Go To Market (GTM) efforts. This includes overseeing the architecture, development, and optimization of our Marketing and Sales tech, Customer Support tech, Revenue Systems, and overall Oracle ERP system. You will also closely partner with key cross-functional partners from Product, Design, Data Science, PMM and others.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the vision and strategy for our GTM engineering, delivering the best in class, robust and reliable products for our Marketing, Sales, Customer Support, and Revenue Systems along with R&D partners. Communicate a compelling technology vision for the future; Inspire others to achieve the vision; Translate the vision into key business strategies; Involve a diverse group of people in setting direction; Align the organizational structure to achieve the organization's vision.
- Partner closely with Finance leadership to maintain, enhance and evolve our revenue systems (Oracle Financials, Fin360 etc) ensuring they securely support our revenue recognition, billing, and financial reporting needs. Drive engineering solutions that improve financial systems' efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, marketing, finance, compliance and customer support, to ensure we are aligning engineering initiatives with product roadmaps and business objectives, building and delivering the right solutions for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers and engineering managers, enabling their professional development and growth. Actively promote diversity and inclusion.
- Ensure the creation and implementation of best practices in software development, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing.
- Drive the execution of complex, multi-faceted projects with multiple stakeholders, balancing competing priorities and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Make decisions that incorporate global considerations; Lead initiatives across global boundaries and Collaborate across organizational/geographic boundaries.
Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with a deep understanding of software development principles, practices, and technologies
- 7+ years of global leadership experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience with commerce, Go-To-Market strategies, or payments
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience leading transformational large-scale enterprise-level software engineering projects, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality solutions, with a focus on Marketing and Sales tech, Customer Support tech, and Revenue Systems.
- Deep understanding of Oracle Financials and financial systems, experience in enhancing and optimizing financial systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams, demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Strong collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across different teams and align stakeholders around common goals.
- In depth understanding of the GTM process and an understanding of the unique technology needs of marketing, sales, and customer support teams is a plus.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to balance competing priorities and drive complex projects to completion.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present complex technical issues in a clear and concise manner.

The pay range for this role is $284,000 to $466,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
