Job Description

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. This role may be remote or hybrid. At LinkedIn, hybrid roles are performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. Remote roles are performed from the designated home work location upon time of hire, and any changes to this home work location requires a review of remote status and approval.

The Program Manager will drive some of the most critical, complex, and high-impact programs across the Comms + Social Impact (C+SI) organization. This role blends strategic initiative leadership with operational oversight, serving as a key partner to the C+SI Chief of Staff and leadership team. From standing up new cross-functional initiatives to optimizing the systems that keep the org running, this person will operate as a connective tissue across leadership, enabling clarity, alignment, and execution.

This role requires a strong strategic operator who excels at navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and driving progress across multiple, often undefined, workstreams. You’ll bring a sharp eye for the big picture while having the drive to dig into the weeds when needed—equally comfortable advising senior leaders on complex decisions and rolling up your sleeves to unblock execution. You will be a thought partner on special projects (60%) and a steward of organizational operations (40%), ensuring we’re not just running the business—but improving it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner directly with the C+SI Chief of Staff and leadership to shape and deliver the org’s most critical priorities—including strategic planning, budget and FP&A operations, sourcing and vendor partnerships, and talent development efforts.
  • Lead end-to-end development and execution of cross-functional special projects that have high visibility and executive sponsorship, with clear outcomes and measurable impact.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor, applying structure and rigor to ambiguous challenges while bringing insights that accelerate decision-making and delivery.
  • Build durable operational systems that scale with the organization—including goal-setting rhythms, business reviews, headcount planning, and budget tracking.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships and influence without authority across all levels of the company—keeping teams aligned, unblocking progress, and building shared ownership.
  • Identify risks and opportunities early, proactively propose solutions, and lead problem-solving efforts that drive results.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or similar strategic functions.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives from concept through execution in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to advise, influence, and align cross-functional partners at all levels.
  • Highly structured and analytical thinker who thrives in ambiguity and brings order to chaos.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills, with a track record of delivering results across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, able to create clarity and inspire action across audiences.
  • Experience designing and running org-wide planning processes (OKRs, strategic planning cycles, budget reviews, etc.).
  • Comfortable with autonomy, and confident in navigating decisions independently when needed.
  • Deep curiosity, EQ, and a collaborative mindset—you seek to understand, listen well, and earn trust quickly
  • A sense of humor and resilience under pressure—you bring calm and clarity to high-stakes moments.

Suggested Skills:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Change Management
  • Operational Excellence
  • Executive Stakeholder Management
