Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role can be based in our San Francisco, Mountain View, Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit or Washington DC office.

Our LinkedIn Employee Communications team exists to connect and engage employees with the right information, at the right time, so they are productive and empowered to help LinkedIn succeed. This role specifically supports our LinkedIn Talent Solutions (LTS) business: a multi-million-dollar business for LinkedIn that more than 700,000+ companies in 230 countries leverage. Our hiring products help companies match open roles with qualified candidates and improve the hiring process while our learning product allows consumers to learn and add new skills to their profiles. Our talent products work together so customers can easily hire the right people, help their teams build skills, and improve their employee experience.

As a Communications Manager on the team, you’ll have the opportunity to develop the strategy and content for our LTS employee communications channels – including the hub (intranet), newsletter, Teams channels and more, reaching 2,500+ sales employees and cross-functional partners. The Communications Manager also plays an important role in supporting our regional leaders with quarterly or biannual all-hands meetings and organizational announcements, such as key product launches and program or team updates, in partnership with their local teams.

Responsibilities:

Communications Strategy and Execution

  • Leverages understanding of business needs and insights to support and develop many elements of strategy and planning for a single, well-defined function.
  • Assists implementation and recommends improvements of tactics and ensures accuracy and quality across messages and channels.
  • Embodies and supports LinkedIn culture and values and ensures they are represented in individual work.


Writing and Storytelling

  • Develops and supports pre-defined / specific narrative content topics and drafts materials with limited guidance.
  • Understands what channels are most appropriate and meaningful for a story/content and target audience, including customer story development.


Stakeholder Engagement

  • Creates and supports stakeholder relationships by developing trust and rapport with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strong expertise interacting with few stakeholders and leverages that understanding in execution of tasks, independently.
  • Establishes decision making criteria and principles at outset to improve upon priorities and expectations.
  • Recognizes opportunities and makes recommendations that recognize stakeholders' diverse perspectives.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Communications, Marketing Operations, Advertising, Journalism, or related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, or related field AND minimum 2 years of experience in Communications, Marketing Operations, Advertising, Journalism, or related experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with Product Marketing and Go-to-Market Enablement teams on new product launches and sales rep readiness
  • Strong understanding of employee audiences
  • Stay on top of current trends in content creation and bring an innovation mindset
  • Ability to move and operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels and with various cross-functional partners
  • Exceptional problem-solving, strategic, and analytical skills
  • Experience working in, or closely with, a large-scale comms team
  • Exceptional program management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and prioritize work in a rapidly evolving environment

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $98,000 to $152,000.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
