We are seeking a Senior Account Executive – Learning to join our growing team in Japan. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them leverage the power of LinkedIn Learning to support workforce development, upskilling and organizational transformation.
You’ll play a critical role in expanding existing client relationships and uncovering new opportunities to deliver impactful solutions through our learning platform. While meeting and exceeding quota targets is a key measure of success, your ability to build long-term partnerships that prioritize client outcomes is just as important.
This position is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with a passion for talent development and a strong track record of closing complex deals in a fast-paced, consultative environment.

What You’ll Do
- Drive Growth: Partner with Account Directors to identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Act as a Strategic Advisor: Position LinkedIn Learning solutions as essential tools to address clients’ learning and talent development challenges.
- Engage with Decision-Makers: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across HR, L&D and leadership teams to influence buying decisions.
- Meet and Exceed Quota: Develop a robust pipeline, forecast accurately and close deals to consistently meet revenue targets.
- Leverage a Hunter Mindset: Conduct outbound outreach to uncover new opportunities within existing accounts.
- Collaborate and Share: Mentor peers, contribute to team best practices and support collective growth by sharing insights and strategies.
- Provide Market Feedback: Communicate client and market insights to product and marketing teams to influence roadmap and positioning.
- Be a Thought Leader: Represent LinkedIn with professionalism, insight and a deep understanding of the talent development space.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally in e-learning, SaaS or HR/talent-related solutions
- Fluent in both English and Japanese
- Demonstrated success selling complex enterprise solutions to senior stakeholders
- Familiarity with Learning & Development (L&D), HR software or employee experience platforms
- Proven track record managing and growing accounts using Dynamics or similar CRM tools
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret data to drive strategy
- Resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively position solutions against competitors and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
