About the team

The Marketing Technology & Operations team is the connective tissue that powers Zillow’s marketing effectiveness at scale. We build the systems/tools, data, and operational infrastructure that drive marketing automation and enable cross-functional Marketing execution.

Within MarTech & Ops, the Program Management Office (PMO) serves as the engine of cross-functional coordination and strategic initiative delivery. Our team of program and project managers owns the programmatic view of the Marketing portfolio and enables consistent, repeatable execution by aligning goals, driving planning cycles, managing dependencies, and ensuring smooth collaboration across all Marketing functions. The PMO is also responsible for leveraging operational data to identify/drive opportunities for efficiency.

About the role

As Manager of the PMO, you’ll lead a team of 3–5 program and project managers responsible for delivering high-impact initiatives across the Marketing organization. You will evolve and scale our program management discipline, championing best practices in planning, communication, stakeholder management, and process excellence.

You’ll be a thought partner to marketing leadership, proactively anticipating organizational needs and building the operational muscle to accelerate delivery of strategic initiatives. You’ll also serve as a trusted advisor, facilitator, and integrator — helping teams keep the big picture in focus while tracking critical details.

This is a highly visible role requiring deep collaboration across all Marketing functions including Product Marketing, Strategy, Technology, Creative, Data Science, Legal, Brand, and Customer Experience teams.

You Will:

  • Lead and Grow the Team: Hire, manage, and develop a high-performing team of program and project managers.

  • Drive Strategic Execution: Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale marketing programs — from go-to-market campaigns to technology initiatives to regulatory compliance efforts.

  • Harness AI to Empower People and Workflows: Leverage AI, data, and automation to drive speed, adaptability, and outcomes across the enterprise.

  • Align Cross-Functionally: Act as a hub of coordination across Marketing and partner teams (Product, Engineering, Legal, etc.), ensuring visibility, alignment, and shared accountability.

  • Elevate Program Health: Establish and monitor KPIs and program health metrics, escalating risks and ensuring leadership has the insights needed to drive decisions.

  • Scale What Works: Build a culture of continuous learning and systematize learnings/reusable assets (e.g., templates, retrospectives, playbooks) to drive efficiency and knowledge sharing.
