This role can be based in San Francisco, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, or NYC

About The Role

We are looking for a highly organized and strategically minded Senior Manager, Brand & Creative Affairs, to lead the operational and business affairs functions within our Brand & Consumer Marketing team. This role is critical in ensuring the seamless execution of brand initiatives by managing agency and vendor relationships, overseeing licensing and rights management, and driving operational excellence across the center of excellence workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Agency & Vendor Management: In partnership with the center of excellence marketing teams, drive efficiency and impact with agencies, production partners, and vendors, overseeing onboarding, scopes of work, contracts, and performance.
  • Business Affairs: Negotiate terms and usage rights for talent, music, imagery, and third-party content across all media channels. Maintain working knowledge of IP, rights, clearances, and talent union guidelines as they apply to advertising.
  • Budget Oversight: Partner with finance and procurement to manage agency/vendor budgets, purchase orders, and invoice tracking.
  • Contracting & Legal Liaison: Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to negotiate and execute contracts, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
  • Asset Management: Oversee systems and protocols for storing, tracking, and archiving creative assets and rights documentation ensuring compliance with legal, licensing and contractual obligations.
  • Center of Excellence Operations: Develop and maintain efficient processes and ways of working across campaigns and content initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Integrated Marketing, Media, Comms, and Product Marketing teams to align operations with strategic priorities.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement tools, systems, and workflows that enhance efficiency, transparency, and scalability.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing operations, business affairs, legal affairs, or production management within a marketing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience with an understanding of licensing, rights management, and talent usage across media platforms.
  • Experience with managing external agencies, vendors, and production partners.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • 2+ years of experience with contract negotiation and working with legal and procurement teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Deep knowledge of digital asset management (DAM) systems, rights tracking tools, MarTech platforms and creative workflow tools (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Frame.io).
  • Background in advertising, entertainment, or content production.
  • Passion for operational excellence and enabling creative teams to do their best work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.

The pay range for this role is $ 142,000 to $230,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
