Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

This role can be based in San Francisco, Mountain View, New York or Chicago.

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Group Manager to lead our Incremental Testing function within the Measurement Strategy & Testing (MSTAT) team. This team is responsible for developing measurement frameworks and roadmaps across all business functions, and this role will be pivotal in validating attribution models and driving testing excellence across marketing.

You will lead a team of talented testing experts, define the long-term vision for our testing program, and partner cross-functionally to deliver insights that shape marketing investment decisions and KPI frameworks. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring strong analytical acumen, statistical expertise, and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategic testing roadmap for the marketing organization, aligning with business growth objectives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of testing analysts, fostering career development and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on incremental testing methodologies, including RCTs, Geo-lift, Synthetic Control, and A/B testing.
  • Partner with Data Science, Product Marketing, Finance, and Marketing to validate measurement models and optimize campaign effectiveness.
  • Consult marketers on test design, hypothesis framing, and KPI selection.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple testing initiatives under tight timelines, ensuring clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Socialize insights and deep-dives across teams and operationalize results through dashboards, models, and process improvements.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and data flows to enhance marketing effectiveness and efficiency


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, STEM, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years experience in data analytics, marketing or business insights roles
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in test design and execution, including incremental testing
  • 3+ years managing a team of direct reports in analytics or testing functions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in or with clients in the online subscription industry
  • Experience designing and executing randomized control tests (RCTs), Geo-lift, Synthetic Control, and other experimentation methods.
  • Proficiency in SQL, R, and Python for data wrangling and statistical analysis.
  • Experience supporting marketing and/or sales organizations.
  • Strong foundation in statistics and experimentation methodologies.
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable recommendations and influence decision-making.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messages for technical and business audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with strong project management skills and a bias for execution.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $149,000 to $233,000.

Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
