As a Senior Analyst on the Finance Analytics team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how data informs decisions at Zillow. This position focuses on business intelligence (BI) and data visualization, primarily using Tableau, Domo, and Workday reporting, with SQL-based data preparation in Databricks. You’ll turn stakeholder questions into clear metrics, trustworthy dashboards, and scalable self-serve reporting - helping drive operational excellence and support innovative initiatives across the company.
You Will Get To:
Build, iterate, and maintain executive-ready dashboards and self-serve reporting in Tableau, Domo, and Workday for Finance and Accounting use cases.
Translate stakeholder questions into clear metrics, semantic definitions, and curated, certified data sources to improve consistency and trust.
Perform final data preparation steps (“last-mile ETL”) in Databricks using SQL to shape, join, and quality-check data for BI consumption.
Validate data against system-of-record sources and implement robust testing and documentation to ensure data quality and trust.
Design and prototype Databricks-based data models for production by data engineers, supporting reporting, system integrations, and AI initiatives.
Support teams in preparing datasets for AI and automation tools by structuring inputs, metadata, and access controls.
Operate within an Agile cadence to prioritize work, plan sprints, and deliver incremental value.
Elevate data literacy through office hours, training, and clear, audience-appropriate storytelling and visuals.

Who you are
4+ years of experience in BI/Analytics, creating clear data visualizations and dashboards for business stakeholders, with hands-on experience in BI tools (Tableau and/or Domo preferred) & strong SQL skills.
Practical experience with Databricks (primarily Databricks SQL/SQL notebooks) for final data preparation and transformation.
Strong communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to clarify requirements and present insights to non-technical audiences.
Domain knowledge in Finance (e.g., FP&A, Accounting, budgeting, billing), or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new domains and apply BI best practices.
Working knowledge of data governance concepts (definitions, certification, lineage, role-based access control/RBAC, privacy/PII handling) and quality assurance practices.
Experience working in Agile environments and managing priorities with multiple stakeholders.
Familiarity with work management tools (e.g., Jira), version control (Git), and light scripting for analytics productivity (e.g., basic Python), while maintaining a SQL-first orientation.
Experience enabling AI-assisted workflows (e.g., preparing datasets for copilots or chat interfaces) and understanding of data readiness for AI is highly desired.
Experience with Workday reporting and familiarity with Workday financial data structures is a plus.
