The Collaboration Tools team builds and enhances Zillow Group’s internal communication and productivity platforms, enabling seamless collaboration and supporting business agility across the company. As a Client Engineer, you’ll help drive innovation and ensure our teams stay connected and productive.About the role
As a Client Engineer, you will use your technical expertise to support, maintain, and advance our suite of collaboration tools. Your work will directly impact productivity and employee experience across Zillow, empowering teams to work more efficiently and collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for collaboration platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, etc.).
Develop and implement automation scripts and workflows to enhance system reliability and user efficiency.
Manage, configure, and optimize client-side components of collaboration applications.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
Proactively monitor system performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Conduct regular assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
Mentor junior team members, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
Stay abreast of industry trends, proactively recommending and implementing innovations to enhance our collaboration capabilities.

Who you are
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and engineering collaboration and productivity tools.
Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, or similar enterprise collaboration platforms.
Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation frameworks.
Strong understanding of AI tools (generative, agentive, etc.) and how they can enable users to get the best out of our platforms.
Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a user-centric mindset.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
