The Junior Underwriter will be responsible for supporting the Underwriting department with all capacities.
You Will Get To:
Assist with gathering all required information to distribute new loans to applicable underwriting staff
Keep submittals, re-submittals, and underwriters organized to meet turn times
Submits loans to investors where applicable
Review resubmitted files and documents as needed
Communicate effectively and professionally with underwriting staff and management
Sign off on underwriting loan conditions according to underwriting guidelines
Assist underwriting management on assignments and projects
Assist with underwriting a small number of loans under the supervision and the second sign
Who you are
At least one year recent experience in the mortgage industry
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Encompass experience preferred
General Knowledge of mortgage industry terminology
Excellent time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals.
Strong analytical and auditing skills along with a firm grasp of mathematical concepts
