Job Description

This role will be based in Mountain View, Sunnyvale or San Francisco.

At LinkedIn, our approach to flexible work is centered on trust and optimized for culture, connection, clarity, and the evolving needs of our business. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.

The Senior Manager, Data & Analytics Insights is a strategic leader responsible for translating Workplace data into high-impact insights and executive-ready recommendations that shape enterprise Workplace strategy and program direction. Operating at the intersection of analytics, business strategy, and story-telling, this role combines advanced analytical rigor with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear, actionable guidance for senior stakeholders. The role requires intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and the confidence to challenge assumptions and elevate decision quality.

This leader proactively defines the analytical agenda for Workplace, identifying high-value opportunities, framing the right questions, and developing structured proposals that drive measurable impact. They balance forward-looking, hypothesis-driven analysis with agility in responding to emerging business needs and executive inquiries.

As a hands-on leader, this individual oversees a small team of contractors while directly leading complex analyses. They apply structured problem-solving frameworks, statistical methodologies, and data storytelling techniques to ensure insights are analytically sound, strategically relevant, and impactful. Beyond delivery, they serve as a trusted thought partner to Workplace leadership, shaping measurement strategies, defining success metrics, and advising on rigorous evaluation approaches.

To do this, the Insights Senior Manager must build deep fluency in the Workplace organization, its strategic priorities, and its programs, while cultivating strong, trust-based stakeholder relationships. Leveraging data from the Workplace lakehouse and integrating emerging data sources, the Senior Manager exercises sound assumptions and innovative thinking to solve ambiguous business challenges. Success in this role requires a strong bias toward action, deep curiosity about how the business operates, and a commitment to accuracy, clarity, and impact.

What You’ll Do

Create Insight, Not Just Analysis

  • Identify and frame high-impact questions across Workplace / Corporate Real Estate.
  • Develop analytical proposals that outline hypotheses, assumptions, methods, and expected outcomes.
  • Move fluidly between structured analysis and exploratory work to surface new patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Deliver insights that culminate in clear recommendations and strategic direction, not just findings.

Push the Boundaries of Data

  • Use the Workplace lakehouse and other internal/external data sources as a foundation, focusing on exploratory and investigative analysis.
  • Make thoughtful assumptions and apply sound judgment when data is incomplete or evolving.
  • Evolve analytical approaches as business needs change; testing, learning, and refining along the way.

Influence Through Storytelling

  • Transform complex analysis into crisp, compelling narratives tailored to executives, partners, and operators.
  • Design presentations and visuals that clarify tradeoffs, highlight implications, and drive decisions.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner, helping stakeholders see beyond the numbers.

Balance Strategy and Responsiveness

  • Lead longer-term, forward-looking studies while remaining agile in responding to emerging analytical needs.
  • Prioritize work based on potential impact, urgency, and strategic relevance.
  • Maintain momentum and forward progress, even in ambiguous or fast-moving situations.

Lead Without Bureaucracy

  • Oversee a small team of contractors, setting clear direction, standards, and timelines.
  • Ensure analytical accuracy and rigor across all work, your own and the team’s.
  • Create lightweight processes that enable speed, clarity, and confidence in outputs.

Build the Insight Network

  • Develop strong partnerships across Workplace and the broader business to understand how decisions are made and where insight can unlock value.
  • Continuously learn how different functions operate to spot new areas for inquiry.
  • Serve as a connective tissue between data, strategy, and execution.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of related work experience
  • Experience in Workplace, Corporate Real Estate, Analytics or adjacent fields (e.g workplace optimization and utilization studies, remote work strategies, workplace technology, employee engagement, or organizational strategy)
  • Experience in management consulting or a similarly rigorous, problem-driven environment focused on workplace optimization or organizational effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to propose and lead analytic projects, develop strategies, and deliver actionable recommendations in a business context.
  • Experience working with large, integrated datasets; familiarity with modern data platforms or lakehouse environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS or MBA in Business Administration, Data Science, Organizational Behavior, Analytics, or related fields.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with comfort operating in ambiguity.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical analyses (e.g., ANOVAs, regressions).
  • Proven experience communicating complex analytic concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Experience collaborating and driving results across cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver high-quality insights at speed.
  • A strong bias for action and outcomes over analysis for analysis’s sake.
  • Presenting to and influencing leadership
  • Data storytelling

Suggested Skills

  • Stakeholder Management
  • Data analytics
  • Project Management

What Makes You Successful Here

  • You are curious, experimental, and comfortable challenging conventional thinking.
  • You see data as a tool for influence and change.
  • You value precision and accuracy, but never lose sight of impact.
  • You thrive at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and human behavior.
  • You combine a positive, solutions-oriented attitude with a hands-on approach to supporting and enabling the broader team.
