About the Role

We are a fast-growing US-based technology company expanding our finance organization in India.
We are seeking a Senior Accountant/Financial Reporting Manager who will assist in monthly close and financial reporting processes in alignment with US GAAP. This role will directly support quarterly and annual reporting cycles, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and audit requirements.

You’ll play a critical role in managing Global finance operations including linking Indian operations with the US finance team, taking responsibility for accounting accuracy, compliance, and disciplined financial control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities
  • Review and finalize journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Own preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for US leadership
  • Support ASC 606 revenue recognition, deferrals, and contract accounting
  • Oversee and manage internal accounting schedules and supporting documentation
  • Analyze financial results and variances against budget and trends
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes and coordinate with shared services/vendor teams.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOX-lite controls, and internal governance
  • Drive process standardization, automation, and improvements across finance workflows.
  • Partner with cross-functional groups (Rev Ops, Customer Success etc.) for reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CA / CPA preferred (CA Inter with strong experience considered)
  • 4–7+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting
  • Big 4 / large audit firm background (US or GCC audit experience) highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Comfortable preparing working papers, schedules, and reporting packages
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems (NetSuite, Zoho)
  • Advanced Excel capability; comfort with data exports & reconciliations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with distributed teams and US time-zone overlap (2–4 hours).
  • Experience working with multinational teams an advantage
