About Loop

Loop is a fast-growing FinTech high growth startup that enables businesses to seamlessly manage money around the world so our clients can access more markets, accelerate their growth and simplify their operations with the only truly cross-border banking platform. Loop is enabling the next generation of businesses to thrive around the world and we are looking for ambitious people to join our mission.

About the Role

Hi, I’m Sarah, Chief of Staff at Loop and I am hiring for a Strategy and Business Operations Associate who can help drive progress across all our teams and initiatives.

This role is an onsite position 5 days per week at our downtown Toronto office (Adelaide and Spadina).

Where You Come In

This is a junior-level role for someone who loves structure, thrives in cross-functional environments, and wants to learn how all the pieces of a business fit together. You will work closely with team leads across product, engineering, credit, revenue, compliance, and operations to ensure that each team is executing effectively toward company goals.

You’ll act as a force multiplier: helping projects stay on track, monitoring performance metrics and milestone progress, and escalating blockers or misalignment. Over time, this role can evolve into a more functionally specialized position based on your interests and strengths.

What You'll Be Doing

Project Management

  • Plan, manage and execute team initiatives, ensure timely and on time delivery
  • Coordinate across business units, including tech, finance, compliance, and risk to define project scope, objectives, and success metrics.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Track, document and communicate metrics, initiatives and key goals across departments and initiatives.
  • Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks and issues.
  • Attend team check-ins, synthesize updates, and follow up on next steps across functions.
  • Help implement operational frameworks and internal systems that improve team performance and transparency.
  • Serve as a connective tissue between teams to enhance coordination and ensure strong communication.

Business Operations

  • Support with the execution of initiatives across different areas of the business
  • Help to set and drive KPIs for the business and different functions
  • Support internal operations such as internal documentation, and team coordination.
  • Pitch in on office logistics, scheduling, internal events, community management and anything else that helps the company run smoothly.
  • Be a trusted go-to teammate for operational gaps — jumping in wherever needed to keep the team aligned, informed, and thriving.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ years of professional experience in project management, operations, consulting, or similar roles in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented — you enjoy creating order out of ambiguity.
  • Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and cross-team collaboration.
  • A fast learner who is curious, thoughtful, and eager to dive into new challenges.
  • Analytical and outcome-driven, with a bias for clarity and action.
  • Comfortable using project management tools (eg. Linear) and analytics (eg. SQL, Excel)
  • Based in Toronto and excited about working in person with a close-knit team.

It's a Bonus if You Have

  • Experience in tech.
  • Experience working with small teams, particularly at start-ups.

What's in it for you?

  • Help shape the trajectory of our high-growth startup and make foundational process changes that help us move faster.
  • Work closely with experienced team members and a mission-driven team.
  • Exposure to a wide range of people functions — a great fit for someone exploring a future in Business Operations.
  • As the company grows, this role has the potential to evolve into a different role that aligns with your skills and interests.
  • In-person culture with real collaboration, learning, and shared wins.

What we offer

  • Salary range CAD$60,000 - $75,000 base annual, commensurate with experience
  • Equity ranging 0.01-0.05%
  • 3 weeks vacation
  • Enrollment in group's health benefits after probation period
  • This role is onsite in our downtown Toronto office
  • Kitchen full of snacks and drinks to keep you going throughout the day
  • Catered lunch on Mondays (we take recommendations!)

Interview Process

  • 30 minutes video call to discuss the opportunity and the organization with Sarah, Chief of Staff
  • 60 minutes in person meeting with 2 members of the leadership team
  • 30 minutes in person meeting with Sarah, Chief of Staff
  • 30 minutes in person meeting with Cato, CEO and Co-Founder
  • Background check and offer
