About the Position
As a member of the Venture Growth team, the Manager, Momentum Program's primary role will be to lead the design, delivery, and growth of the Momentum Program. The Momentum Program advances MaRS’ mission by supporting scale-stage entrepreneurs who are developing transformative technology solutions, specifically companies generating between $5M and $100M in ARR or those that have secured more than $20M in external financing.
The Manager, Momentum Program, will oversee all aspects of program execution, from recruitment to account management, stakeholder engagement, and serve as the primary liaison for internal teams and external partners. Through these efforts, the Manager, Momentum Program will help cultivate strong relationships with investors, industry partners, government agencies, and ecosystem stakeholders to ensure program excellence, deliver high-quality venture support, and drive measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day relationships between ventures in the portfolio and the MaRS ecosystem.
- Assess portfolio venture requirements, prioritizing and enabling access to value-add resources and services, in collaboration with the MaRS ecosystem.
- Assist in defining the recruitment strategy to source, analyze and select companies for the program.
- Support with the strategy, design, development and implementation of the overall client engagement experience for the scale-stage portfolio.
- Execute program delivery determining which services, resources, and advisory frameworks best support venture success.
- Identify best practices and key milestones that help ventures progress through the scale-stage of their growth journey (5M+).
- Engage directly with some of Canada’s fastest-growing technology companies, gaining unique exposure to leading founders and scale-stage ventures shaping the country’s innovation economy.
- Work closely with teams across MaRS to deliver a cohesive, high-impact experience for participating ventures. This includes collaborating with groups such as Marketing/Comms, Legal, and sector-specific teams (e.g., Health, Climate) to ensure each venture receives the right mix of expertise and support.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate/Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience (focus in business, finance, science, technology and/or environment an asset)
- 5 years of experience in a business or technology-related field
- Proven project or program management experience, including planning, execution, and delivery of complex initiatives
- Knowledge of key challenges and opportunities for high-growth companies an asset
- Experience building/managing community programming (peer-to-peers, advisory services, etc.) is an asset
- Demonstrates critical thinking and analytical approach with the ability to understand and synthesize complex concepts into clear and compelling presentations
- Strong ability to multitask to meet the demands of a fast-paced, high-energy environment without compromising quality and attention to detail
- Familiarity with Salesforce, G Suite, Slack, Calendar, Asana, and Mailchimp an asset

Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000, extended healthcare benefits, wellness spending account, and paid time-off.
