We’re looking for an Accounting Clerk to join Marble to day-to-day finance and bookkeeping activities, and coordinate AR/AP. Our Accounting Clerk will report directly to the Finance Manager as a core member of our Finance Team, playing a critical role in enabling faster & more accurate reporting company-wide, and empowering teams across the company with the right data to make better decisions. This role is also about building your accounting career in a place where you’ll be supported, challenged, and part of a collaborative finance team.
What you'll do:
- Maintain accurate ledgers and journal entries
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts monthly
- Process cheques, coordinate deposits, and manage vendor payments
- Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist with payroll, expense reimbursements, and tax filings as needed
- Support the Finance Manager with projects and reporting
What we're looking for:
- 1-2 years’ experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role (new grads with strong internships welcome)
- Exposure to the accounting cycle (A/P, A/R, reconciliations)
- Comfortable with Excel (formulas, data management) and accounting software (QuickBooks Online a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Organized, deadline-driven, and able to work independently
- Based in the Greater Toronto Area and able to work in our downtown office 1-2 days a week
Nice to have:
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, ADP payroll, or expense systems
- Knowledge of Canadian/US tax filings or GAAP standards
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
